Doctrinal Information

Our Purpose:

The purpose of New Hope is to be an instrument by which the Lord can minister grace by:

  • going into all the world (Mark 16:15).
  • reaching and restoring the lost (Matthew 18:11).
  • applying the Word of God to the needs of men (Luke 24:45).
  • caring for the needs of the individuals in our community and around the world (I Corinthians 12:25-26).
  • equipping the believers for ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

Our Mission:

The mission of New Hope is to follow the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) while fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Our Goals:

  • To love people in the name of Christ
  • To win people to Christ
  • To challenge people to follow Christ
  • To train people to be Christ-like
  • To send people out to share Christ

Our Basic Beliefs:

  • We believe in the authority of Scripture.
  • We believe in the one true, holy, and living God.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe all men are sinners.
  • We believe in justification by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe God created man in His own image.
  • We believe in the Second Coming of Christ.
  • We believe in the Sacraments of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the church of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in worship in the church.
  • We believe in missions and evangelism.
  • We believe in Biblical stewardship.
  • We believe in a life of discipleship
  • We believe in prayer.
  • We believe in a life of holiness.

Our Central Commitments:

  • We are committed to giving.
  • We are committed to seeing that every Christian is actively involved in some form of ministry.
  • We are committed to preaching the Word of God.
  • We are committed to making New Hope a platform where people can use their Spiritual gifts in ministry.
  • We are committed to unity in the midst of diversity.
  • We are committed to being a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led ministry.
  • We are committed to being a true fellowship of believers.
  • We are committed to providing a variety of settings for ministry.
  • We are committed to being a body that extends grace to those around us.
  • We are committed to strenghtening the family unit.
